How can one back up all old emails at one go without using the cumbersome
method given in Help which as I understand it requires finding each
individual email folder (very difficult to find anyway) and backing it up
separately. This is especially difficult if you have folders with the same
for different years.

It would be nice to have a mechanism which only backed up folders or
messages chnaged after a certain date.

What program are using to read your email.
Os it a POP3, IMAP or HTTP account?

How does your question pertain to Internet Explorer 6?
