Problem with usanetwork.com and IE6

My wife and I have identical laptops with IE6 and WinXP Home. I have
SP3 installed on mine and she is still running SP2. Both systems are
fully patched and "clean" according to AVG Free version, Ad-Aware
2008, Spybot S&D, and the MS Malicious Software Removal Tool.

I have a problem with http://usanetwork.com not opening correctly on
both computers with IE6. I've got the latest update from Sun's Java
site, also, version 6, update 7. Usanetwork.com opens but only shows
the blue background wallpaper plus I can hear sounds. I thought it
might be a problem with that site, but I tried loading it with Opera
9.5 and it works fine... on both computers! Does anyone have any
thoughts on what might be happening here? Thanks. :)

Then you didn't do it right or a third-party application is interfering.

I opened a cmd prompt, typed "sfc /scannow" without the quotes, hit
enter, and sat back and waited while it took 45 minutes to scan. When
done, the scan window disappeared and no messages. :( Did I miss
something? Anyway, I went back to SP2 and updated it. I'll wait and
see if the problem goes away, although from the event viewer log, it
looks like this has happened for quite a while. Time to talk to the
"kid" and see if he's been clearing out the popup message when he gets
on the computer. Kids... I wouldn't take a million dollars for the one
I've got... wouldn't give a nickel for another one just like him. :/
