Hello,

I don't know is there a group concerned with IE8 so I am posting here.
it really bugs me why IE8 cannot handle simple JS; scripts that all were
working in IE7 ? But what really looks like total nonsense is why all
other browsers actually *can* handle same script with no security
warnings, blocks or errors including previous IE browser versions ?

This problem has reached level of absurdity in IE8 which blocks or
simple won't execute scripts that worked in previous versions of IE.

I did real browser line-up:

* Firefox
* SeaMonkey
* Safari
* Opera
* K-meleon
* Chrome
* Flock
* previous versions of IE

All working perfectly, all executing same scripts - most of them based
on simple, basic JavaScript expressions. Even if there is possibility
that my code can be erroneous, that does no explain fact why all other
browsers are executing this very code.

This is a serious yet very simple question: what is wrong with Internet
Explorer, especially IE8 ? Microsoft is capable to create excellent
development environments, databases etc, but Microsoft cannot create web
browser ?

I don't buy it.

So, answer might be that MS WON'T create web browser that can compete
with reliability of other browsers. All I want to know is - *why* ?

..

Thanks

Josip
