I use IE 7 and get a popping sound when moving around and/or moving between
web pages. Any idea what is causing it? I have been through all the sounds
associated with events and none enabled, match the popping sounds.

It's a sound event. Go into the Sound applet in Control Panel. Look at
the sound events defined (i.e., what sound plays for what event).
You'll find one for "complete navigation" for Windows Explorer. If you
don't want a sound for an event, select None. There's also a "start
navigation" event so decide if you want or don't want a sound for that
one, too.

If the sound events are not what are causing the sounds then maybe you
installed an add-on that makes those sounds. See what happens when you
start IE7 in its no-addons mode.
