PDF Link: Click link: Open option: File doesn't exist

Our site includes a PDF file link on a web page and I've observed the
following concerning the operation of the link in IE 6:
- Click on the link and choose Save and then Open works fine
- Right-click on the link and choose Save Target As works fine
- But, click on the link and press Open complains that the file doesn’t
exist – this is strange since I would assume that the browser would do a
combined save and open which it successfully does as single operations.

We have tested it in IE 7 and it works fine. Any ideas?

Hi Mekon,

Would you have some tool installed that clears the cache? And it might be a
good idea to try agaion, after disabling pulgins in IE from Tools, Internet
Options, Programs.

Kind regards

Hans
