I'm running IE6 (6.0.2800.1106) on a win-98se system.

It is no longer functioning properly on parts of the weatherunderground
website.

For example, if you go here:

http://www.wunderground.com

You'll see 2 rows of tabs near the top of the window. Select "NEXRAD
radar". This should take you to:

http://www.wunderground.com/radar/map.asp

You'll see a map of the US with radar stations indicated with large
white + symbols. Click on any radar station. I'll choose the Cleveland
station.

When I do, IE tries to open this page:

http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?ID=CLE

A weeks or two ago, this worked. But now, I get this:

"IE cannot open the Internet site
http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?ID=CLE
Operation aborted"

If I take that direct link:

http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?ID=CLE

and plug it into Firefox, it works fine.

I believe I've replicated this behavior with IE6 on other win-98
machines.

Any ideas why this isin't working any more?

PS: I'm running an MVPS hosts file that's 6 months old.

Those links open correctly on my copy of IE 6. Therefore, it's likely a
server-side issue. You could try clearing TIF and restarting your
browser, but if it's server side there's nothing you or I can do about it.
