Downloading starts play instead of Download!!!

Dear Support,
I running windows Vista and IE7.
My problem is whenever i click on any .mp3 file link to get it download it
starts playing in windows Media Player11 instesd of giving download prompt.
Pls hep me out.....

Don't click on the link. Right-click and select Save Target As.

Thanks for reply
But this doesnt solves my promlem as some link takes us to another server's
link and then start downloading and your trick wont do anything only just
giving the option to save target as *.htm file.

Don't click on the link. Right-click and select Save Target As.

Click start >> Control Panel >> Double Click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options, on the IE Properties window
you will see these Options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs
| Advanced .
Security tab then click on Custom level Button.
Security Settings -Internet Zone

\/ Downloads
V Automatic prompting for file downloads
(*) Disable

Open the Windows media player and check this setting:
Click Tools >> Options >> Security tab and see these settings:
Content
[ ] Run Script commands when present << uncheck this
[√] Run script commands and rich media streams when a web page << check this
option
[ ] Play enhanced content that uses web pages without prompting << Uncheck
this Box
[ ] Show Local captions when present <, Uncheck this

Click [Apply] then [OK]
Hit F5 to refresh and try the link, does it prompt you to save run/cancel?

Thnaks Nass,
I did what u said but still i am not getting download prompt
(Run/Save/Calcle) and this problem is only with .mp3 file,wav or all audio
file with i am trying to download form net.
But the same is available in Mozilla Firefox or other internet explorer.

They are using a server-side script to locate the file when you click
the link. You never get direct access to the file itself. They want to
stream the content to you so you can *listen* to it, not so you can
steal it. It is also likely that what the script points to is a stream
definition file. It doesn't contain the audio content either but
defines the source that is elsewhere, so if you download that file all
you end up is a pointer file to the media. Again, they're letting you
listen to their content, not to let you steal it.

There are means of stealing streamed content. Google for them. I don't
help users to steal what the owner wants to preserve as their property
or leased resource.
