web page open small

I don't know what I have done but all pages open in a small window. How do
I have them to open as they used to, full size.

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.

Glad to hear it but perhaps next time, try a different group, as this
one is for IE6.

The recommended newsgroup for IE7/IE8 is
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
