I have google toolbar installed so that my history pages are saved perhaps on
google server. I sell some items on internet and then print shipping label of
fedex so that I can ship the item free by fedex. fedex label of course has a
bar code too. Is it possible from searching the history that I can know
whether I printed shipping label of that specific item. As the buyer says he
didn't get the item and my record on hard copy ( a real copy of paper pages)
says that I shipped that item. thanks a lot for help.

Hi,

Your hardcopy should be enough proof for your customer. Fedex should be able
to provide the delivery history of the item, based on the code they provided
on invoicing. (contact Fedex).

You can only try searching your History to find the page with the shipping
label and reprint it, but depending upon your history settings (days to keep
history etc) it may have been since removed from your history.

You may do better by instead of printing your shipping tickets to paper,
printing them to a pdf document on your hard drive instead.

You can find free software for this here

http://www.google.com/search?q=pdf%20printers

You can also search, email and print these files at your will.

Regards.

Won't Fedex be able to help?

What protocol is used? Is it cached?
Next time you do it pay attention to such implementation details
so you will know what you can look for and what you will
probably not be able to find.

I'm afraid not.

Whether history (=list of visited addresses) or visited pages (=cache) are
saved depends on your browser, not on Google toolbar. And your history
cannot be saved on Google server.

History (ALt+C, History) can tell yiou if a page has been viewed, not if has
been printed.

Kind regards

Hans
