Hi,
I'm trying to use a free malware detection system that can be booted and run
from a CD and which can access a current definitions file located on a thumb
drive. Here are the instructions copied from the system's PDF instructions
file:
1. On a healthy computer with Internet access, insert an empty USB drive.
2. Go to http://download.f-secure.com/latest/fsdbupdate.run in your browser.
3. Right click and save the file to the computer with the name
fsdbupdate.run.
4. Copy the fsdbupdate.run file to the root directory of the USB drive.
5. Insert this USB drive in the computer on which you want to use Rescue CD.
My problem is that when I type the download URL into the address bar, I
don't know how to tell the browser to download it to a file. With an
extension of .run, and since the file contains plain text, it always just
displays the text in my IE6 window. Right clicking what I typed into the
address bar does not bring up a save as dialog.
