Post by PA Bear [MS MVP]And does the behavior persist in IE6?
Post by JakeRI ran the script as noted and received the following reply: DllRegister
Server in ole32.dll succeeded. Upon closing the dialogue box and re-opening
IE, the error persists and I am not able to print web pages. In order to
accomodate diagnostics, I rolled back to IE6 rahter than the troublesome
IE7. Any other advice is greatly appreciated.

I have the same printing problem as Maureen. I, too and running on Windows
XP sp2. I have attempted to resolve the problem by disabling virus software
(Kaspersky 2009) upgrading to IE 7.0, re-installed the latest versions
of
my
printer drivers. Could you please advise as to other possible causes?
I
was not able to obtain additional information since Maureen had resolved
the
problem. Please note that there is an NVIDIA Network Access Manager
that
is
disabled because of problems/conflicts with the firewall settings. I am
suspicious that some sort of firewall setting is the root of the problem.
Thanks!

I work in Windows XP Home Edition andInternet Explorer6 and am
currently
unable to printinternet pages or selected text thereof. I constantly
get
the following message: "An error occurred during this operation". Preview
works fine.
I have no problem whatsoever printing from the MS Office software programs
or from CorelDraw. Can anyone out there help me?
Thanks,
Maureen
Hi,
I also have the same issue but in IE6 SP2. Here are a few things i
have tried and all have failed:
- cleared history and temp files in IE
- also followed this article to clear all other temp IE files
<a href="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;
296115" target="_blank">http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...</a>
- ran IE in admin mode to restore default settings and
security settings and remove any damaged add-ins
- re-installed IE6 based on method 4 listed in this article
<a href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378"
target="_blank">http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378</a>
- restarted the print spooler, in case that was causing some
issues
- re-installed the Java client
- ran IE in safe mode and still had the same issues.
- Ran SFC / scannow - still the same issue
- Re-registered the following files:
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
- Ran 2 different online virus/spy ware scans
- Ran IEFix --> http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFIX.htm
- Ran Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll
The event log shows nothing in regards to the issue
And there are no errors when the issue is happening.
We have also noticed that we cannot print HTML documents from Outlook
but plain text documents print just fine.
If anyone can thing of anything else that might be causing these
issues or have any troubleshooting please let me know.
