When I try to open a PDF from an Internet Explorer link I get a messages
saying:

"There was an error opening this document. The file cannot be found."

However, others are not having any trouble opening the same PDF from the
same link on their computers. What can I do?

If you save a PDF file to your HDD, can you open it?

What's your default PDF reader?

Same problem here, openin PD file from IE link won;t work, saving file to
disk no problem.

Looking with Regmon reveals that the file is not saved to %TEMP% at all.
Looking with Regmon with users that don;'t have the problem shows that the
file is saved.

any sugestions woul dbe appreciated. We are using IE6 sp2,adobe reader 8

Found it!

In Internet Explorer select go Tools > Internet Options, Select the General
tab, • In the Temporary Internet files section of options, click the Delete
Files button. If this takes a while it's a good indication that this was the
problem

Try again after files are gone. In our case it worked like a charm!
