Error Message

I have IE 7. I was visiting a website offering lists of homes to view.
After opening a few, this pops up: "An error has occurred. Please try again
by refreshing this page in your browser." No code or other information
given. Refreshing did not help. Closed down site and tried 3 more times.
Same problem. Can't find equivalent message in Microsoft Help--Error section.
