forcing IE to save login info?

Is there a way to force IE to save a login username and password? There is
a site where IE will not do so (or ask me if I wish it) even though Firefox
saves the login info. This site uses Active-X if that makes any difference.

No, I never do (either in IE or FF) because I am not sure what it really
does and if it remembers me on my PC or on the website's server.

Checking the "Remember me" box makes it work in IE, but I did not need to do
so in FF which is why I did not consider it. (I do not use IE much)

It won't work (in IE) if you don't check that box, Jeff. WYSIWYG.

Hello,

You may have previously refused when IE7 asked you to save the password. If
so, head to this site, run the utility and delete the site from the list to
reset IE's password memory of the site
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/internet_explorer_password.html

Warning, this will list all IE passwords so ensure you don't have any prying
eyes around you.
