Red X in pdf on Adobe Reader

I am attempting to launch a pdf ana red x appears in the corner. I have the
most recent Adove Reader installed and all SP updates installed as well. I
have gone to Tools--Internet Options--Programs--Manage Add-Ons-- The Adobe
Reader status shows to be disabled but I am unable to enable it. Message
reads This add-on is managed by your administrator and the fiels in
uneditable. This is a home PC with one user so I assumed I was the
administrator.

Can anyone assist me with some tips here?
