Internet Shortcut Icons

I just installed IE7 over IE6 and about half of my desktop IE shortcuts with
an IE icon, the rest appear with the registered icon.
What should I be looking for?
When I right click and check properties everything looks the same except for
the icons.
I have rebooted several times.
I think I noticed several more register properly on the first couple of
reboots then no further improvement.

Thanks to a really great MS-MVP guy named Don I was able to quickly resolve
the problem.
Here is the solution for others to share in case you missed the post on the
other news group.
Just change the settings of your Display Settings and force Windows to renew
the cache and then change it back to what ever you want.
