AFAIK that version of IE6 doesn't include the Manage Add-ons feature, Rick.
What problems are you having? What third-party toolbars are installed?
What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What third-party firewall (if any)?

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) computer repair shop.

Post by rick jthe system does have all the patches, i am not quite sure which addons are
causing the problem but i suspect it's yahoo, but i can't find any place
that lists the addons like i can in XP so i can disable them to find out
which one is the problem

- it does not display an option to manage add-ons, it is not at the bottom
of tools - internet options - programs where it should be. can any one
tell
me how I can manage the add-ons without messing with the registry
