Encountered a problem and needs to close

I keep receiving the error listed below:

Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and need to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience. When I click to view the error signature, this is
what it reveals:

Appname: Explorer.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 7621017d

Operating Windows Xp with Service Pack 1 and Internet Explorer 6

I have tried the following:
*deleted all history, temporary files, cookies, etc.
*removed the enable third-party browser extenstions from the Options Menu
*tried to re-install IE 6 from the disc
*tried to install IE 7 and IE 8 but will not allow because I do not have an
internet connection.

This error keeps coming up while the computer is on, I do not even try to
open the program and it pops up every 30 seconds or so?? At this time, I do
not have any connection at all through a DSL, telephone, or T1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Backup your personal data, then do a format & clean install of Windows.
Please note that a Repair Install (AKA in-place upgrade) will NOT fix this!

After the clean install, you'll have the equivalent of a "new computer" so

Yeah PA Bear, that should take care of it, but who has two or more days
to do this? Why not fix the original problem to begin with?

Check your processing that are running with Task Manager.

Is one of them ZCREW.B? If so you have been infected.

This problem can be solved manually by deleting all registry keys and
files connected with ZCREW.B, removing it from startup list and
unregistering all corresponding DLLs. Additionally missing DLL's should
be restored from distribution in case they are corrupted by ZCREW.B.

To get rid of ZCREW.B, you should:

1. Kill the following processes and delete the appropriate files:
