This happend when I have uninstalled firefox.

Issues:
1. All HTML files doesnt have "e" icon.
2. at the address bar, there is no "e" icon before URL.
3. Clicking on links wont direct to the links destination but to the default
home page.

My IE version.

See and follow:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFAQ.htm#IE_Default
"Set Internet Explorer as my default browser".

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/htmicon.htm
"Incorrect or generic Windows icon displayed for HTM, HTML and MHT files"

If the problem persists...
1 - Run IEFix:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFIX.htm
"IEFix - General purpose fix for Internet Explorer".
2 - Run IE repair script:
http://iefaq.info/index.php?action=artikel&cat=24&id=31&artlang=en
"Repair IE6 on Windows XP SP2".
