using IE 7 (is there an IE 7 group?), XP sp 3. i used to type in a word or
phrase in the address bar and get a list of various results (like Google)
which i preferred. Now when i type in a word or phrase, i sometimes get a
specific site (like Google "feeling lucky") which i do not like. Did IE
change something or did i change some setting? Thank you.

If you must make identical posts to multiple newsgroups, please cross-post
one (1) message to all of them. Thank you.

sorry. i was unaware of the IE 7 board and only found it after i posted
this. i recieved two messages warning me against this practice on the IE 6
board, but no posts on the IE 7 board.

Can anyone help me here with my question? i promise to not cross/multi post
ever again.

Let's stick with your thread in IE General, please, Cone.

Meanwhile, I see you're having other, possibly related, problems:

Please try the IE7 group.
The recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
