How to find lost emails

I've been using IE6 and OE6, and had some emails in the Inbox. I was just
installing Office XP and stupidly decided to install Microsoft Outlook just
to see what it was like. I started Outlook up and imported those emails
into it's Inbox. Then I decided I preferred Outlook Express and uninstalled
Office XP (no way to uninstall Microsoft Outlook by itself, at least I
couldn't find a way). Then I was able to start OE6 again but all the emails
were missing.

I assume the emails are still on my computer, but I'm not sure where or how
to import them back into OE6. Any suggestions?
