XP - sp3 (Updated to sp3 recently to try resolve with update)
IE6 - sp1 (cannot upgrade beyond IE6 due to applications not compatible with
newer versions)

Problem is easy explained in article 883740

Have followed above article with no success, popup blocker is off, firewall
is off, IE security setting enable to display mixed content

In Windows Explorer, navigate to and right-click on
C:\Windows\System32\WININET.DLL <=this file | select the Version tab: What
version is displayed here?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)? Were any of these applications running
in the background when you installed WinXP SP3?

Has a Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this machine
(e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought it)?

After selecting yes the prompt keeps reappearing - loading bar at bottom does
slowly fills up after continuois clicking og prompt but the page never
changes.

Anti virus - Trend micro Office Scan V8.0
Defender not running - Norton and Mcafee not on pcs image
The Trend antivirus has no known affects on installing software

browser extensions <=unchecked/disable this option.

again.

HOW TO Reset Internet Explorer (IE6)

Note: The following will delete all cookies. To save them beforehand: IE
File | Import and Export | Export Cookies | save the file in an appropriate
location. To import the backup afterwards: IE File | Import and Export |
Import Cookies | point the wizard to the saved file.

1. After closing all IE windows, click Start, Run, type: “inetcpl.cpl”
(without quotation marks) and press Enter.
2. Select the General tab, and in the Temporary Internet files window, click
"Delete Cookies", and click OK.

V5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp.090413-2111 : Service pack 3)

Trend:
Trend Micro OfficeScan Client 8.0 Client-Server edition

Windows firewall is always set to off - Trend was still running
Trend was purchased by company and dont know exact date of expiry.

Other network guys have suggested it is a redirect loop that may have some
thing to do with our systems (maybe). it occurs in IE, Firefox and opera web
browsers

Hi, sorry for delayed reply

Winver:
V5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp.080413-2111 : Service Pack 3)

Trend:
Trend Micro OfficeScan 8.0 Server client edition

Trend was still running upon install of SP3, Windows firewall set off
Trend was purchased by company but unfortunatly dont know expiry date.

Another engineer has found it is not just IE but Opera and Firefox too, also
they think its a redirection loop, this may be something to do with the way
our PC are setup

Let's try a Reset...
HOW TO Reset Internet Explorer (IE6)
====================
Note: The following will delete all cookies. To save them beforehand: IE
File | Import and Export | Export Cookies | save the file in an appropriate
location. To import the backup afterwards: IE File | Import and Export |
Import Cookies | point the wizard to the saved file.
----------------------------------------
1. After closing all IE windows, click Start, Run, type: “inetcpl.cpl”
(without quotation marks) and press Enter.
2. Select the General tab, and in the Temporary Internet files window,
click "Delete Cookies", and click OK.
3. In the same tab click Delete Files, check the "Delete all offline
contents" box and click OK.
4. Click the Programs tab, and click "Reset Web Settings".
5. Click the Advanced tab, and click "Restore Defaults".
6. Under the Advanced tab, uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart)".
7. Click OK.
8. Reboot.

If you select YES after encountering the "Do you wish to continue?" prompt,
is everything OK anyway?
If you do not log-in and continue to
https://www.learninggrids.com/us/WelcomePage.aspx, do you get the same
prompt? ...is everything OK anyway?
If the behavior is being caused by what's described in KB883740 (and such
may not be the case), it should have been addressed after you'd installed
WinXP SP3 *and then* made sure all post-SP3 security updates were
installed. Is the computer currently fully-patched at Windows Update? (Do
NOT install IE8!)
In Windows Explorer, navigate to and right-click on
C:\Windows\System32\WININET.DLL <=this file | select the Version tab: What
version is displayed here?
What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than
Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)? Were any of these
applications running in the background when you installed WinXP SP3?
Has a Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this machine
(e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought it)?

XP - sp3 (Updated to sp3 recently to try resolve with update)
IE6 - sp1 (cannot upgrade beyond IE6 due to applications not
compatible
with
newer versions)
Problem is easy explained in article 883740

Have followed above article with no success, popup blocker is off, firewall
is off, IE security setting enable to display mixed content
