Where is the IE 6 favorite file on the c: drive.
The reason I ask is that I had a catastophic failure of my last PC.
The hard drive has been saved apparently.
But it is an external drive.

Any ideas?

Hi,
Favorites in Windows XP should be at:
C (or Drive letter)\Documents and Settings\username\Favorites

If you can't export Favorites via Internet Explorer, it would be best to
select a number of Favorites (bookmarks, internet shortcuts) and copy those
to Vista, rather than trying to copy entire folders of Favorites to Vista.

Vista Favorites should be at
C:\Users\username\Favorites

Hope this helps,

Hi Brian,

As You are talking about IE 6, I beleive you are using Windows Xp

You will find the IE 6 favorites at following location;

C:\Documents and Settings\nitin.soni\Favorites

Note: "nitin.soni" will be your user name of windows xp computer.

Thanks & Regards
