I am running Windows XP and IE 6 and for about a week, I've had a problem
that on most websites, some or all text is not showing. For example on Yahoo
home page where they have news stories boxes, they appear as a white blank
box and the search feature box is not functional. When I pull up Google, it
is totally blank. I have tried to change the font settings under
Tools-Internet Options but that does not correct the problem. I am also
having problems seeing the text in some received emails in Outlook (Office
03) which I suspect is also somehow related.
I initially spent the last few days addressing this problem with Norton
Antivirus because my updates would not load, but we figured out that this is
due to this MS problem because I am not able to see all the text and radio
buttons to select the updates in their software. I spent hours talking with
Norton tech support already and we tried numerous things including deleting
and reinstalling Norton, creating a new user account, opening up in safe
mode, a clean boot, and restored to an earlier date before I was having these
problems and none of them resolved the issue.
Does anyone have advice on additional other things I can try?
